You buy Passport VPN from Passport VPN, run by Dan, a sole trader in Manchester, UK. Card payments are processed securely by Stripe on our behalf; we never see or store your card number.
Who looks after your data
Passport VPN is run by Dan, a sole trader based in Manchester, UK, who is responsible for the data described here. Contact: [email protected].
What Passport VPN holds
- Your email address, so we can send your login details, answer you and handle a refund.
- The payment record of your order: the order reference, the amount, the date and your name if you gave one at checkout. Stripe, our payment processor, collects your card and billing details on Stripe's secure checkout page under its own privacy policy. We never see or store your card number.
- Your VPN login, which we set up for you with our VPN infrastructure supplier so the service can work.
What Passport VPN does not hold
- Your browsing data. We do not inspect your traffic, and we don't collect or keep the sites you visit, the apps you use or what you watch.
- No advertising or tracking cookies. This site sets no cookies of its own and serves its fonts from our own server. Pressing Buy takes you to Stripe's checkout page, which uses its own cookies for payment security.
Why we use it
We use your email and order record only to provide the service you paid for, to support you and to keep the business records UK law requires. That is our lawful basis: performing our contract with you, and our legal obligations. We never sell your data or use it for marketing.
How long we keep it
For as long as your plan runs, then only as long as UK tax law requires business records to be kept (up to six years). Ask us and we'll delete anything we don't legally need to keep.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing [email protected]. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
